Even More Active Naturals: Our Expertly Formulated Base Blends
So, we listened to Nature and made our products even more natural (up from 99% natural origin to 99.5% - which is massive!). In response to Nature’s role as a voting director on our board, we’ve packed even more active naturals into every bottle of our liquid haircare, hand and body wash. It all begins with two expertly formulated base blends of organic ingredients – one for haircare and one for hand and body. These blends form the foundation of these products, and have been carefully chosen for their benefits to hair, skin and scalp.
HAIRCARE BASE BLEND
Found in our liquid shampoo, conditioner and hair masks, this blend uses active, natural, organic ingredients that have been selected for their known benefits to both hair and scalp. It comprises:
Organic Rosemary Essential Oil This oil, extracted from the herb, is a source of natural antioxidants and is renowned for having anti-inflammatory properties. Long associated with the head and hair, rosemary oil is known to stimulate the scalp, increasing blood flow and helping to encourage healthy hair.
Organic Nettle Way more than a stinging weed, nettle is a classic hair herb that’s rich in vitamins and minerals. It contains silicic acid, which has been shown to improve the tensile strength of strands, helping brittle hair. Nettle is also known to help balance oily hair and scalps, and is excellent for creating shine.
Organic Chamomile Since the time of Hippocrates, this daisy-like plant has been used as an herbal remedy for a range of skin conditions, thanks to its known anti-microbial, anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is commonly used to treat skin irritations and inflammation and is known to help soothe the scalp.
BODY CARE BASE BLEND
Found in our liquid hand wash and body wash, this blend uses active, natural, organic ingredients that have been selected for their known ability to help soothe, nourish and care for skin. It comprises:
Organic Oat Extract Oats are great for breakfast, and they can also be great for your skin. Oat extract is widely used in topical emollients for soothing dry, itchy and inflamed skin conditions. It is known to nourish, soften and cleanse the skin.
Organic Limeflower Extract Not to be confused with the flower of the lime tree, limefower is another name for linden tree blossom. This bloom is known to have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties – and is suitable for use on even irritated skin.
Organic Elderberry From the same tree that brought you elderflowers and elderflower cordial comes elderberries. These little fruits are a rich source of bioflavonoids, which have antioxidant properties and are known to contribute to the general health of the skin.
